With God giving every human being freewill, we have the choice to do wonderful things or to create evil. Bad things happen to good people and we may not know why but there is a plan and someone somewhere is effected by it. There are too many holes in the argument to pin point the who what when and where for why evil exists. Big D said "It is like how the darkness is just the absence of light just like evil is the absence of good."

The problem with evil

I do not think that good can exist without evil. If there was no evil in the world, then good would not shine through. I believe that out of everything bad that happens, something good is a result. Sometimes people will never realize why it had to happen and to other people, it is evident at the time that it happens. Bad things happen to good people all of the time unfortunately. I also believe that everything happens for a reason. If nothing bad ever happened, how would people learn and grow? I think evil is necessary in life for good to prevail.

The Debate over Free will

There are many questions concerning free will. Does it exist? What is free will? These are both very good questions that have many answers. Some people think that free will does not exist. They think that everyone is born with a plan and that they are just pawns in life that is being moved around by a higher power. Other people think that people are given free will to live their life the way that we feel is right for us. Every decision we make has a consequence. It is either a positive or negative consequence. I think free will is a wonderful thing. It is nice to know that I am in charge of my life. I can do what I feel is right for me and no one else and I like that.

Blog # 2

This video is a perfect example of evil happening to a little child. being diagnosed with a terminal disease at such a very young age is such a travisty. This child did hold on for a lot longer than he was told but eventually did die from this disease. His parents have a strength that I could never even imagine! Sometimes things happen for no reason and it is so hard to accept.

What is Philosophy

Philosophy for me is a way of looking at life. It is just not a bunch of sayings that everyone knows it is how you live your life.
