With God giving every human being freewill, we have the choice to do wonderful things or to create evil. Bad things happen to good people and we may not know why but there is a plan and someone somewhere is effected by it. There are too many holes in the argument to pin point the who what when and where for why evil exists. Big D said "It is like how the darkness is just the absence of light just like evil is the absence of good."
